Casa TlalLI

A place for
nature | art | Thought
Casa Tlalli is an evolving work of love. Tlalli means Earth in Nahuatl, one of Mexico's original languages.
Situated in the Serra da Mantiqueira in the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais in the grounds of a former goat cheese production farm. Our region is very similar in climate or feel to the Cotswolds in the UK or the Catskills in upstate NY. The project is evolving from a productive farm to a place where the basic elements we need as humans mix.
air | water | silence
All complemented by literature, art and design. Tlalli is a place to re-connect and a place of doing. You can finally observe the depth of night and understand the work of Carl Sagan, or appreciate Almodovar's use of blues and reds in his images in cinema and listen to the wind interspersed with chimes.
You can stay here and contribute to the space, or maybe it changes you, the same way it has done so with me. Long or short stays, if you can't afford it, tell us about you and why you want to come and maybe we come to an understanding. Come to stay with us - check out our three currently available spaces.
