+120 acres in The MANTIQUEIRA

Casa Tlalli is made up of 49 hectares; 7 hectares of farmed land and 42 hectares of protected forest that is connected to the Itatiaia National Park.
The property is mountainous, but all the structures sit on two small plateaus right at the foot of the mountain. Tetzacuilli and Tlatetzauhtli sits below the entrance and the house about 500mts above. The diagram shows the property perimeter and the photo above the location of the structures relative to the mountains
We have a natural spring sprouting in the property and that joins the river downstream that merge with other streams that eventually become Cachoeria da Prata (Silver Waterfall) about 800mts below. We have a second stream on the west of the property that does not spring from the property.
In terms of weather, it is much cooler than Rio or São Paulo given our elevation and mountainous microclimate. There are 3 weather stations within a 100km radius: in Campo Alegre (SP) at an elevation of 756mts above sea level, Passa Quatro (MG) at an elevation of 920mts above sea level and Resende (RJ) at an elevation of 440mts above sea level. I think Passa Quatro would be the closest reference. Mirantão, the small town 5kms away from Casa Tlalli, which is part of the Bocaina de Minas municipality, is about 2,000 mts above sea level.
